What Is It Production was founded by Christian Klotz and Saskia Schmidt who wanted to support others creating better digital products and make their own ideas happen.

With a history in application design and development for installations, web and mobile devices Christian is the technologist with a strong creative background at What Is It. He is especially interested in how to create great user experiences by combining the different capabilities of different platforms and devices in best possible way. This includes web applications, mobile or the growing number of tablet computing devices.
Loving to develop new ideas he also offers great workshops in software and creative use of new technology to enable others to bring their ideas to live using the possibilities new technology offers.
Saskia Schmidt
Creative Director
With a strong background in digital design and production, animation and short films Saskia developed a broad experience for creating engaging experiences in different formats.
As an addition to that she also leads media literacy workshops for young people. Saskia is convinced that this offers great chances in creative learning for young people’s development.
