What Is It Production was founded by Christian Klotz and Saskia Schmidt who wanted to support others creating better digital products and make their own ideas happen.

With a history in application design and development for installations, web and mobile devices Christian is the technologist with a strong creative background at What Is It. He is especially interested in how to create great user experiences by combining the different capabilities of different platforms and devices in best possible way. This includes web applications, mobile or the growing number of tablet computing devices.
Loving to develop new ideas he also offers great workshops in software and creative use of new technology to enable others to bring their ideas to live using the possibilities new technology offers.
Saskia Schmidt
Creative Director
Having a strong background in digital productions, animation and short films, Saskia did concepts for public art and interactive video installations and have years’ experience in theatre, video documentations, digital video solution strategies and broadcast productions.
Integrating new media like mobile or web applications and games in the projects of What Is It increases the awareness of using technology in our everyday life and also teaches new possibilities how to use these sensible and creatively.
Saskia is convinced that this offers great chances in creative work and learning for young people’s development as well as for an adults audience.
